Adjust sprinklers so only your lawn is watered and not the house, sidewalk, or street.

If water runs off your lawn easily, split your watering time into shorter periods to allow for better absorption.

Welcome to, an educational site dedicated to teaching youth about the importance of conserving water in and around the home.

To address these concerns, four underground water conservation districts in West Texas collaborated to develop an education outreach cooperative. Three of those districts form the Southern Ogallala Conservation & Outreatch Program. Programs and learning activities are offered to school districts, civic organizations, public libraries, and youth groups.

Each water conservation district within the education cooperative sponsors an art contest for fourth and fifth grade students. Winning artwork is featured in a calendar published by each district and offered free to the public.
